Upon retiring in 1993, I decided to do something other than play golf so I took drawing and painting classes at UNCA and A-B Tech in Asheville, NC as well as the Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League. I then proceeded to paint landscapes around the area and later gravitated to portrait painting in oils. After tiring of cleaning brushes and palettes and the smell of turpentine, I discovered a better way to do it was to paint portraits by using a computer.

As a result I was able to bring my oil portrait skills to the digital world. Many kudos go to Karen Sperling at www.artistrymag.com for getting me started.

I use a Mac Pro computer with dual cinema displays, a Wacom Intros graphics tablet and Corel Painter software.

Take a look in the gallery to see some of my work. These are TRUE paintings, not clones.
