If you would like a commissioned computer portrait
of any person, family member, child, or pet, just send me a photograph
of the subject. The photo should be in color and a minimum of 3 x 5 inches and a maximum of 8 1/2 x 11 inches in size. Black and white photographs are acceptable as long as you include one or two different color photos of the subject(s) so skin tone can be determined. Send photos you can spare since they cannot be returned. Also, make sure your photo hasn't been copyrighted thereby restricting it's use as a reference model.
Portraits are made in two sizes: 16 x 20 inches and 18 x 24 inches. These
are standard sizes and will fit in ready-made frames which can
be purchased reasonably at most home decor or art shops.
REMEMBER THESE ARE TRUE PAINTINGS, NOT CLONES
When you send your picture, include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, size of painting desired, and manner in which you want it shipped. Also name your painting with a one or two word name.

To respond by mail, you can use this APPLICATION FORM, or you can send your information by e-mail to kreisel@charter.net and attach a digital file of your photograph.
Upon
receipt of your photograph, I will analyze it and contact you
either by phone or e-mail to give you my ideas about the photo
and how I feel it will transform into a painting. Frankly, some
photographs will not lend themselves to becoming good portraits,
and I may ask you to submit a different photo and will help
you choose a good one. At this time I will give you an estimate
of when I will start the painting and when it will be finished
(approximately four days after start date plus printing and
shipping time).

WILL OWE NO MONEY AT THIS TIME
WHEN WILL YOU OWE MONEY?
A short time after I start the painting, I will send you an e-mail containing an image of the painting which will be partially completed, enough so you can determine if you like it or not.
If you like what you see, send me a deposit of SEVENTY FIVE nonrefundable US dollars, and once it's received, I will proceed with the painting.
To speed things up, use PayPal as provided below. When the painting
is finished (a day or two later), I will bill you by e-mail for the
balance due. When this final payment is received, I will have the painting
printed on artist's canvas (if so ordered) and shipped. The printing is done with a complex giclee process and takes
about seven days and shipping takes three to seven more depending on where you live.
If you don't like what you see when you receive the e-mail with the partially completed painting, I will try to change it to your liking. If you still don't like it, the project will be terminated AT NO CHARGE TO YOU.
NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH YOUR PORTRAIT
Paintings can be finished and shipped in one of two ways: 1)
as a CD by First Class US Mail, or 2) printed
on artist's canvas using the giclee process (click here for a discussion on giclee),
packed in a shipping tube and shipped UPS Ground. The canvas used is premium quality with a hot laminate protective coating and printed with an Epson 9800 printer
and Epson UltraChrome archival pigment inks.

Images shipped by CD will be in a 360 dpi tiff file and sized
as ordered. The image can then be easily opened by most photo
or image shops, printed to your liking on paper or canvas, stretched
if necessary, and framed with a picture frame of your choice.
Images shipped on canvas can be stretched and framed by any frame
shop or you can do it yourself with supplies obtained from an art shop or home decor store.

If you reside in Hawaii, Alaska or outside of the United States, the charges outlined
